Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between your poster sizes?

A0 is the largest standard size (841 x 1189mm), roughly the width of a door. A1 is half that, A2 is half again, and so on. A1 is our most popular size for event promotion. A3 and A4 are better for notice boards and smaller displays. If you're not sure which size you need, measure the space or the frame it's going into.

Can I get posters printed same day?

Yes. If we have your artwork by 10:30am and the file is print-ready (correct dimensions, high resolution, no edits needed), you can collect the same day from our Kilcoole premises. Next day delivery is available if you're not local.

What paper do you print posters on?

All our standard posters are printed on 200gsm matt paper. It's a good weight that doesn't curl or flop, and the matt finish avoids reflections under lights. If you need something waterproof or tearproof, look at our waterproof posters instead.

What's the difference between standard and waterproof posters?

Standard posters are paper. They're fine indoors and work outdoors in a frame for a while, but they'll be ruined if they get wet. Waterproof posters are printed on polypropylene, a synthetic material that handles rain, humidity, and rough handling. They cost around 30% more but last much longer in tough conditions.
