A2 Poster Printing

A2 sits in the middle ground. At 420mm x 594mm, it's twice the size of A3 but more manageable than the larger formats. It's not the most common size we print, but when people need A2, they usually know exactly why. It fits where A1 would be too big and A3 wouldn't have enough impact.

We print A2 in-house on our large format machines, same as A0 and A1. That means same day turnaround is available if your artwork is with us by 10:30am. It's a different process to smaller paper sizes, which is why there's a jump in price from A3, but it opens up options that standard office printers can't touch.

What we print on

All A2 posters are printed on 200gsm matt paper. It's got enough weight to sit flat in a frame without buckling, and the matt finish works well for detailed artwork and photography. No reflections, no glare, just clean colour reproduction.

What people use A2 for

Artists and illustrators are the main customers for A2. It's a popular size for selling prints: big enough to make an impression on a wall, small enough to post without ridiculous shipping costs. We print short runs for artists who sell online or at markets, and longer runs for those with gallery shows or stockists.

After that, it's hospitality. Some restaurants use A2 for illuminated menu displays, the lightbox frames you see outside the door. Pubs and clubs use them for bathroom advertising, those snap frames above the urinals or on the back of cubicle doors. It's a captive audience, and A2 fits the standard frames.

Snap frames and finishing

A2 posters come trimmed and ready to use. If you need snap frames for display, we can supply those alongside the print. For artists shipping prints to customers, we can roll them in postal tubes. Just let us know what you need when you order.

Artwork and turnaround

Same day collection is available for print-ready files received by 10:30am. That means correct dimensions (420 x 594mm), good resolution (150dpi minimum at full size), and no edits required. If something needs fixing, we'll flag it, but it may push the job to the next day. Larger orders, give us a call first to check the schedule.
