Pitchside Advertising Boards

Pitchside signage does two jobs: it makes your grounds look professional, and it brings in sponsorship money. We print pitch side advertising boards for clubs across Ireland, from local GAA pitches to rugby and soccer grounds. The boards go up around the perimeter, sponsors get visibility, and the club gets a revenue stream that renews year after year.

We've made pitchside advertising boards for Laragh GAA and Rathdrum RFC among others, and the process usually works the same way. Clubs order in batches as sponsors sign up, rather than waiting until every business has committed. First ten boards go up, other local businesses see them, and more orders follow over the next few weeks. That suits everyone.

What you get

We round all corners as standard. These are perimeter boards sitting at pitch level where players, officials, and kids are moving around. Sharp metal edges don't belong there.

Pitch side advertising boards: what size?

Standard sizes are 2400mm x 1200mm but most popular are 1200mm x 600mm, but we cut to whatever dimensions suit your pitch. Some clubs match existing sponsor boards. Others work to the spacing of their railings or posts. Tell us what you need.

We can pre-drill mounting holes at the edges or to specific centres if you give us the spacing.

How long do they last?

three to five years outdoors. The gloss laminate protects the print from UV fade and rain. The aluminium composite won't rot, rust, or blow over once mounted to something secure.

This matters when you're talking to sponsors. If the board cost is built into year one, renewals from year two onwards are pure income for the club. The sign is already up and still looks sharp.

There's 2 ways to print a sign like this. First way is to print directly onto the sheet, this is quick and also cheaper. The first issue is that it will start to fade after 18 month, and the main issue is that repeated impact from balls will crack the ink. The second way is to print on vinyl, laminate it and then mount to the board. The vinyl will bend with the material on impact so no cracking, and also it will have a lifespan of 3-5 years without any fading. The second way is the way we do it.

Artwork: the part that holds things up

Sponsorship board artwork falls into three camps.

First: print-ready files. Correct size, high resolution logos, everything set up properly. Straight to print.

Second: a photo of a business card, or just a name and phone number. These are quick to set out because the sponsor isn't fussy about design details.

Third: artwork that's been designed but has problems. Low resolution logos, wrong dimensions, text jammed to the edges. These slow everything down because someone has to go back and forth with whoever made the file.

The smoothest orders are where the club gives sponsors our specs upfront and lets them sort their own artwork. We're happy to help with simple layouts, but if a sponsor has opinions about their board, it's faster if they get it right before sending to us.

If you're sending guidelines to local businesses:

• PDF or high-resolution image
• Finished size with 3mm bleed
• Text and logos 10mm from the edge minimum
• Logos as vector files or 300dpi
• CMYK colour

Turnaround and delivery

A few days once artwork is signed off. We're based in Kilcoole, County Wicklow. Local clubs can collect, or we can deliver across Ireland.
