Standard paper posters don't last outdoors. One rain shower and they're ruined. That's where waterproof posters come in. We print these on polypropylene, a synthetic material that looks and feels like paper but handles water, humidity, and rough treatment without falling apart.
These aren't laminated paper. Lamination can split at the edges and let moisture creep in over time. Polypropylene is waterproof all the way through, so there's no weak point for water to find. It's also tearproof, which means you can roll it up, store it, and reuse it without the edges fraying or ripping like normal paper does.
Where waterproof posters work well
Outdoor A-frames and sandwich boards are the obvious one. If you've got a menu board or promo stand outside a café, pub, or restaurant, waterproof posters handle whatever the Irish weather throws at them. They wipe clean too, so if they get dirty you're not replacing them.
High humidity areas are another good use. Swimming pools, gyms, spa changing rooms, anywhere with steam or condensation in the air. Standard paper goes limp and wavy in those conditions. Polypropylene stays flat.
They're also good for posters that get swapped in and out regularly. Event venues, pubs running weekly club nights, anywhere the signage changes often. Normal paper tears when you take it out of a snap frame. Waterproof posters survive the handling and go back in the drawer for next time.
What you get
We print waterproof posters from A4 up to A1. They're around 30% more than standard paper posters, so an A1 starts at €22.50+VAT. For custom sizes, get in touch and we'll quote based on what you need.
Same day turnaround is available for print-ready files received by 10:30am. Same rules as our standard posters: correct dimensions, good resolution, no edits required.
When waterproof isn't the answer
Waterproof posters handle rain and humidity, but they're still flexible material. High winds will bend them, flap them around, and eventually damage them if they're not properly secured in a frame. For something tougher that stays rigid outdoors for months or years, have a look at our rigid signs section instead. Foamex, Dibond, or Correx will handle more punishment than any paper-based product.
