Parking Permit Stickers
Windscreen parking permits printed on vinyl, cut to shape, and ready to use. Numbered, colour-coded, or fully personalised with names and reg numbers.
These are the stickers you see on the inside of car windscreens in staff car parks, housing estates, gyms, and private parking areas. They let security see at a glance that a vehicle is allowed to be there. They're printed in reverse on clear vinyl with white ink laid on the back, so when you stick them to the inside of the glass the image reads correctly from outside the car. They stay put through sun, rain, and frost without peeling or fading.
We print these for housing developments, leisure centres, office car parks, hotels, and multi-location businesses. We did a job for a TV production company that was sharing parking facilities with a movie being shot on the same lot, so people from both productions had to park in the right areas. Each car park got a different shape and colour: blue circles for one, red triangles for another, and yellow squares for the third. Security could tell from across the car park whether a vehicle was in the right zone without checking a list or scanning anything.
What you can do with them
The most common setup is a branded sticker with the year or expiry date printed on it and sequential numbering so you can track who has what. That covers most car park situations and keeps things straightforward to manage.
If you need more control we can data merge individual details onto each sticker from a spreadsheet. That means names, registration numbers, permit numbers, department codes, or whatever other information you need can be printed directly onto each one so every sticker comes out unique. This is useful if you're issuing permits to specific people or vehicles and want a proper record of who received what number.
Colour coding is worth considering if you manage more than one parking zone or membership tier. Different colours or shapes for different areas means security can check permits visually rather than reading fine print on every windscreen. We can print any combination of shapes and colours in a single run, and changing the colour each year makes expired permits obvious at a glance without having to physically remove old stickers from every vehicle.
Shapes and sizes
The standard is a 90mm circle, which is the same footprint as an old tax disc and sits neatly on most windscreens without blocking the driver's view. We also cut squares, triangles, rectangles, or any custom shape your design calls for, including die-cut shapes based on your company logo if that's what you're after. If you're packing a lot of information onto the sticker with multiple text fields, barcodes, and logos you might want to go larger than 90mm so everything stays legible.
How they're made
They're printed in reverse on clear vinyl using UV-stable inks, with a layer of white ink on the back to make the colours pop against the glass. The adhesive side is the printed side, so you peel the backing and press it straight onto the inside of the windscreen. We supply them either on sheets where you peel each one off as needed or as individually cut stickers depending on how you plan to distribute them. Double-sided printing is available if you need information visible from inside the car as well as outside.
Who uses these
Housing estates and apartment complexes use them to identify residents and manage visitor parking. Gyms and leisure centres issue them as membership permits that change colour each year. Office buildings and business parks use them for staff and contractor parking access. Hotels with limited parking allocate them to long-stay guests. Film and TV productions use colour-coded versions to manage crew parking across multiple unit bases, and event venues use them for season ticket holders or VIP parking areas.
What to think about before ordering
The main decision is whether you need sequential numbering, individual data merged from a spreadsheet, or just a generic permit without personalisation. Numbering is the easiest to manage and costs less than full data merge. Generic permits without numbering work fine for smaller car parks where you just need to show a vehicle belongs there, but they're easier to copy so they're not ideal if security is a concern.
Think about how you'll handle the changeover when permits expire. If you change the colour or shape each year then expired permits are immediately obvious and you don't need to chase people to remove their old stickers. This is how most of our customers handle it and it works well.
Artwork
Most customers send us the finished design ready to print as PDF, AI, or EPS with fonts outlined and colours in CMYK. If you don't have artwork sorted we can set up the design for you for a fee. For data merge jobs supply your variable information as an Excel spreadsheet or CSV file and we'll map it onto the sticker template.
Turnaround
2-3 working days from artwork approval.
