Pull-up banners are a staple of events, trade shows, charity nights, conferences, and hotel lobbies. Anywhere you need a branded display that can move with you afterwards. They fold down into a carry bag, set up in seconds, and get used across the board. You might hear them called roll-up banners, pop-up banners, or roller banners. Same thing.
We print them the same day in Kilcoole, Co. Wicklow, on a heavy, premium material that prevents show-through. You're not going to see the hotel wallpaper peeking through behind your design. The heavier stock also resists creasing as it rolls back into the mechanism, which is a common problem with cheaper banners.
What Sizes Are Available?
Our standard size is 850mm wide x 2000mm tall. This is the go-to for most jobs and fits comfortably in any car. We also do 1.2m and 1.5m wide versions for when you need more visual impact at a larger event.
There is a 2m-wide option, but at that point you're better off looking at a fabric backdrop. The carry bag for a 2m stand is just over 2m long, which makes it a hassle to get into cars and through doors.
Standard vs Deluxe Base
Our standard base is the one we've settled on after years of working with these. It does the job well for most uses.
The deluxe heavyweight version is built for repeated use. If you're taking banners up and down constantly and transporting them from show to show, the deluxe mechanism handles that kind of wear and tear. The standard base is fine for occasional events, but if these are going to live in the boot of a rep's car and come out every week, the deluxe is the safer bet.
Travelling to Ireland for an Event?

Design Tips
One thing we notice regularly is people trying to fit too much onto a banner. Think of it like a PowerPoint slide. Main points and supporting imagery only. Nobody is going to stand at a trade show and read an essay.
If you have a lot to say, break it across two or more banners and tell your story that way. We did a tech conference at the RDS recently where the client split their message across three banners, and it worked far better than cramming it all onto one banner.
Keep the bottom 150mm free of important content. Anything too close to the base gets hidden by the roller mechanism.
Artwork and Ordering
If you need a template or help setting up your artwork, get in touch. We accept PDFs and can work with most file formats once they're in the correct dimensions and are in a high enough resolution for printing.
If you're sending artwork from the US, check the template sizing first. Inches vs centimetres can cause a slight mismatch. Easy to adjust, but worth catching early if you're on a tight deadline.

Not Sure a Pull Up Banner Is Right?
Pull-up banners are indoor products. They'll survive a calm day outside at a push, but they're not built for wind or rain.
For a more polished, permanent look in a hotel reception or office lobby, an easel with printed boards can look a bit classier. For larger exhibition backdrops, pop-up fabric displays and zipper walls give you more coverage without the limitations of a roller mechanism.
Common Questions
What size pull-up banner should I get?
850mm x 2000mm is the standard and works for most situations. Go wider (1.2m or 1.5m) if you need more presence at a trade show. Beyond 1.5m, a fabric backdrop is usually the better option.
Can pull-up banners be used outdoors?
They're designed for indoor use. They'll hold up for a few hours outside in still conditions, but wind will topple them, and rain will damage the print.
What's the difference between standard and deluxe?
The standard base is solid for occasional use. Launches, one-off events, seasonal displays. The deluxe has a heavier mechanism built for constant use, ideal if you're doing shows every month.
How quickly can I get one?
Same day. Artwork to us before 10am and it'll be ready for collection or dispatched with DPD that day.
Can I get a double-sided pull-up banner?
Yes. Double-sided works well when the banner will be seen from both directions. In the middle of a room rather than against a wall.
What file format do I need?
PDF is preferred. If you're not sure about setup, ask us for a template with the correct dimensions and bleed marks.
What's the difference between a pull-up banner and a pop-up banner?
Same product, different names. Pull up, pop up, roll up, roller banner. They all refer to a retractable banner that rolls into a base unit.
