Wedding Direction Signs

There's two moments when your guests need pointing in the right direction. The first is getting to the venue - navigating country lanes, unmarked turns, and the spot where Google Maps gives up. The second is once they're there - finding the ceremony, the bar, the bathrooms, or figuring out what's happening when.

We print both. Road-style signs to guide people in from the main road, and venue signs to help them find their way once they've arrived.

Signs to Get There

These are the arrow signs you place along the route - at the turn off the main road, the fork in the lane, the entrance to the venue. Their job is to be seen and read quickly by someone driving past.

Most couples order somewhere between 3 and 6. Think about every decision point a driver faces on the approach. A good test: describe the route to a friend who's never been there. Every time you say "turn left at" or "look out for" that's where a sign should go.

These signs are weatherproof because they need to be. You might put them out the night before or the morning of, and they'll handle whatever the sky throws at them.

Signs at the Venue

Once guests arrive, venue signs take over. These might point towards the ceremony, the drinks reception, the dining room, the bathrooms, or the car park. Some couples use them as a schedule too - a stack of arrows on a post showing "Ceremony 2pm", "Drinks 3pm", "Dinner 5pm", "Dancing 8pm".

These tend to be more decorative since they're part of the day itself, not just functional signage on a roadside. They often match the style of the invitations and other stationery.

Styles

We print three main styles:

Road sign style - Bold, clear, does the job without fuss. Works well for route signage where readability matters most. National Road Green or Old Style White, the choice is yours!

Matching your stationery - if you've got a wedding logo, a colour scheme, or a design theme running through your invitations and other print, we can carry that through to your signs. Same fonts, same colours, same feel.

Rustic or natural - hand-lettered style, soft colours, botanical details. More relaxed and decorative, often used for venue signage where the sign becomes part of the setting.

How to Order

Use the options below to choose your style, enter your names, and select the arrow direction - left, right, or straight ahead. If you need multiple signs pointing different ways, add each one separately.

The most popular size is 600mm wide, which gives good visibility from a car without being awkward to handle or put up.

Putting Them Up

Most people cable-tie them to fence posts, gates, or existing signposts along the route. Some use garden stakes or wooden posts in the grass verge. For venue signs, a freestanding post or easel works well.

We can add holes to the corners for cable ties, or leave them plain if you're planning to mount them differently. Let us know when you order.

After the Wedding

Some couples keep them as a memento. Others sell them on to the next person getting married at the same venue - wedding Facebook groups are full of people looking for exactly this. If your signs are fairly generic ("The Smiths" rather than "Sarah & John 24th August"), they're easier to pass on.

Most orders are ready within a few days. We deliver across Ireland, or you can collect from our workshop in Kilcoole, County Wicklow.
