Wedding Table Names

Table numbers do the job, but table names tell a story. They're a chance to bring a bit of personality to the room, the albums you love, the places you've been, the festivals where you spent your summers. Every table becomes a conversation starter instead of just a number on a card. We've printed table names as vinyl records, street signs, airport boarding passes, festival posters, and plenty of other ideas couples have come up with. If you can design it, we can print it.

Ideas We've Seen Work Well

One couple named all their tables after albums that meant something to them - we printed them as 9-inch vinyl record sleeves, one for each table. Another used the streets they'd live and hung around on, printed as those double street signs. We've done cities as airport boarding passes for couples who love to travel - NYC, LON, DUB, BCN - and festival posters for people who met at a gig or spent their summers at Electric Picnic.

Backstage passes work well too, with the table names as access areas. The nice thing about all of these is that they give your guests something to talk about while they're finding their seats.

How They're Made

We print table names on rigid board so they're sturdy enough to last the day without flopping over or getting damaged. Most hotels and venues have little stands or clips for table names - the rigid board slots straight into these and stays put at table level where everyone can see it. Light card will flop over as the evening goes on, but rigid board will stay upright.

If your venue doesn't have stands, or you're not sure, we can add a strut to the back so they stand up on their own. Worth checking with your venue coordinator before you order so we can set them up the right way. Also, keep the lower portion free of any info as that's where the clip goes.

We print them double-sided as standard, since guests approach tables from all directions and you want the name visible whichever way they're coming from.

Sizes

A5 is what most people go for - it's big enough to spot from across the room but not so big it takes over the table. For the vinyl record designs, we print them as 9-inch circles to look like actual records.

How to Order

If you've already got your designs ready to go, send them over and we'll print them. Canva and Etsy templates work well for this - same as with invitations, you do the design and we handle the printing.

How Many Do You Need?

Most weddings run somewhere between 10 and 15 tables. If you're seating around 8 people per table, 15 tables gets you to about 120 guests, which is a fairly typical Irish wedding. Your venue will be able to tell you exactly how many you need based on your numbers.

It's worth ordering one or two spares. There's always a last-minute table change, or someone knocks a drink over during the meal. Much easier to have a backup than to be one short on the day.

Turnaround and Delivery

Most orders are ready within a few days. We deliver across Ireland, or you can collect from our workshop in Kilcoole, County Wicklow.

What size works best?

A5 is the most popular. Big enough to read easily, small enough to not dominate the table setting.

Do you supply stands?

No, but most venues have them already. Check with your venue and let us know if you need struts on the back instead.
